Passionate followers of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who jumped a barrier and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A viral clip shows the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was due to appear on the following morning. It is not clear if he was faced legal action.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Several followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said another comment on Instagram.

A number of supporters also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while others requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to greet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The film, to be premiered on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a light pink glittering gown at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, earning several for best costume and production design.
