An individual of Australian nationality who vaulted past a barrier and touched celebrity Ariana Grande has been sent away and prohibited from Singapore.

Johnson Wen, aged 26, was handed a penalty to more than a week in detention for disrupting public order and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities informed news outlets.

Wen pushed past photographers and approached aggressively the actress and singer, who was present at the regional launch for the film on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

The individual has a record of interrupting performances and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop star's Australian show in the past June.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of re-traumatising Grande.

The pop star has mentioned suffering from PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at her performance in Manchester in spring of 2017 resulted in the deaths of over twenty people and injured hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the authorities learned he had attempted to intrude on the red carpet event on two occasions, according to local news sources.

He then made a another effort to jump the barricades. Security staff prevented him and restrained him.

The man subsequently shared video clips appreciating the celebrity for permitting his access and said he was "free."

Law enforcement arrested him the following day and charged him with causing a disturbance, to which the man admitted guilt.

The Court Judge the magistrate was referenced by Channel News Asia as remarking that Wen was "attention seeking", commenting that he was mistaken to think he would not suffer any consequences.

The actress has not spoken about the incident.

Cynthia Erivo discussed the incident to NBC, stating that she "simply desired to ensure my co-star was safe."

"I believe he didn't mean us harm, but you never know with those things, and I aimed to make sure that she was fine. That was my immediate response," she commented.
